The Adelman Travel team recently joined our BCD Midmarket colleagues from Acendas Travel and World Travel Service in Chicago for the 2026 GBTA Convention, one of the business travel industry’s premier annual events.

Throughout the week, our team connected with customers, partners, suppliers and industry leaders to exchange ideas and explore the trends and technologies shaping the future of managed travel. From conversations on the show floor to educational sessions and networking events, GBTA provided valuable opportunities to hear firsthand about the priorities and challenges facing today’s travel programs.

A few themes that stood out this year included:

• Making travel technology simpler and more effective for growing organizations
• Creating a more connected experience across booking, service, payment and expense
• Balancing innovative technology with the personalized service travelers and travel managers still value
• Finding smarter ways to drive program efficiency, traveler satisfaction and value

Adelman was also proud to be part of the GBTA education session, “The SME Escape Room: Solving Travel Tech Decisions That Work,” where our Midmarket team shared practical insights to help organizations evaluate travel technology and determine the right approach for their unique needs.

We closed out an incredible week by bringing together customers, prospects and partners for a special BCD Midmarket cocktail reception, followed by Adelman’s private dinner at the historic Chicago Firehouse Restaurant. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, welcome new connections and continue conversations outside the convention floor.
