Environmental Policy of Adelman Travel Group
Adelman Travel Group is committed to reducing our use of non-renewable resources and minimize and mitigate adverse impacts on our ecosystems, making provisions to comply with all applicable state, federal, and local regulatory requirements, striving to achieve a higher level of environmental quality, continuing our commitment to environmental compliance and the prevention of pollution. We will encourage all stakeholders in our company to support environmental, economic, and social sustainability.
In order to reduce adverse impacts on ecosystems, Adelman Travel Group will enable all our employees to take personal accountability for protecting the environment and creating a safe and healthy workplace. We will use, develop and promote innovative and cost-effective environmental, health and safety technologies and procedures.
We will periodically evaluate our environmental policies and procedures and make modifications to further improve environmental and operational performance.
We will work with sub-suppliers that embrace environmental programs such as water conservation (hotels), waste oil and waste anti-freeze recycling (car rentals), use of green products, alternatives to Styrofoam (air, car and hotel) and any other environmental policies relevant to those businesses.

Office Recycling Program
- E-ticket compliance goal of 100%; currently at 97%
- Paper, aluminum, inkjet toner cartridges, shredders
Energy Savings/Waste Reduction Program
- Corporate headquarters includes all energy-efficient lighting, windows, heat/air conditioning features
- Encourage green plant usage
- Continual equipment upgrades to latest Energy Star compliant monitors and low power consumption
- Office printer elimination and centralization plan for reduction of energy consumption
- Digital senders introduced to amount of paper copies produced by allowing 180 employees to send information via e-mail rather than fax
- Ticket printer elimination plan to reduce energy and paper consumption
Employee Environmental Program
- Smoke-free workplace
- Health fairs that create employee awareness
Industry Awareness Programs
- Promote use of e-tickets and electronic itineraries through Sabre’s VirtuallyThere.com
- Encourage the use of wireless technologies to reduce paper waste
Eco-Adventure Travel Division
- Adelman Travel has created an eco-travel division, whose purpose is to provide education and entertainment related to the protection and conservation of our environment around the world.
Global ReLeaf Program
- Partner with American Forests through membership
- Promote sharing best practices with Adelman Travel clients to improve the environment
- Actively supply data to Adelman Travel clients for carbon sequestration programs
